I had never gone on a nutrition plan to lose weight before , Gus provided me with a a very detailed , straightforward system that really worked for what i wanted to achieve and was easy to follow for a layman. Having someone there to check in with every week was super helpful. Highly recommended.

Gus is the man! I attended his webinar on velocity based training (VBT). He covered applications and areas of research that I never even considered! For example: how to determine impacts of changes in volume have by using velocity changes over an entire workout. Blew my mind! 10/10 recommend attending the seminar.

As a member of the powerlifting team at lifters league for over a year I was able to achieve results I never thought I would accomplish. The coaching staff and team environment are top class and am thankful for all I have learnt along the way. Over the last couple of Saturdays, I have completed the powerlifting workshops with Gus and his team. The workshops were amazing! I learnt so much and have significantly improved my technique as well as getting a new PR in each lift! I no longer get any back pain, recovery is faster and I’m getting so much stronger. Gus is a genius who knows sooo much! It was amazing to watch him correct everyone’s lifts with just a few suggestions or exercises and see their improvement just minutes later. The workshops are catered to every level and ability and the amazing coaches take the time to work with each person individually. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Amazing gym, lovely and inspiring people and great coaching! Gus Cooke has great in depth knowledge and experience in powerlifting. The squat and bench press workshops that I attended aswel as the individual coaching have already made a lot of difference in my lifts in a week. I cannot recommend Lifters League and all their coaches enough! I have recently hurt my lower back and Gus is no doubt the best person to have you back on your feet and lifting pain free. The lifters are awesome and the coaches are welcoming, professional and have endless knowledge to help you achieve your goal in whatever you need. I would highly recommend booking a consultation with them.

Such a great environment and informed team. Nat has been the best coach, and has a fantastic understanding of thyroid, hormones, and people with past and current disordered eating. With her help, support and knowledge all of my lifts have greatly improved in both technique and significantly with strength. And importantly I’ve never felt healthier, and better about myself. So grateful for her amazing coaching and knowledge, watching my body change and strength improve has been the best investment.

Gus Cooke and his team are passionate and dynamic about all things powerlifting .I recently attended the powerlifting workshops and found them to be a valuable source of knowledge and expertise . For years i was hesitant in going to see a trainer because i didn't see the value, and thought i could get what i needed from research. Within 1 session, my coach (Mel Tolone) had corrected years of bad habits and had me lifting more, safely. My only regret is not doing this sooner. I have learned and grown so much thanks to Lifters League (in particular, Mel) and i wouldn't hesitate in telling anyone serious about their health and fitness to see Lifters League. Combined they have so much experience, and actually care about the people they train. I'd give 10 stars if i could and i am very excited to grow with them.

Truly an amazing experience. The support and assistance that my coach gave me during comp prep to achieve my desired goal was gold class. I honestly have never had a trainer prior to this that was so helpful and dedicated. Not only that Lifters league ensures they get to know you well so that your plan is personalised to you and your needs. They are world class trainers and I highly recommend them if you are wanting to reach your goal in a healthy, safe and sustainable way.

I have been with Lifter's League as an online client for over four years. My first coach was with Gus Cooke, who helped me lose about 10kg in weight, while increasing my strength and fitness in the sport of judo.I started working with Leoni Smith in 2016-2017. In 2019, Leoni was able to help me lose over 20kg in weight in about 7 months, as well as successfully rehabilitate my right knee (surgery conducted in November 2018), allowing me the recent opportunity to compete at a national-based kodokan judo competition, winning a gold medal and a silver medal in my divisions.Because of the staff of Lifter's League with their teachings and available resources, I have learned so much about structured training, lifting technique as well as logical nutrition, which has inspired me to continue researching these fields in my own time.

Awesome gym, even better coaches! Not only is the gym one of the best - if not the best - equiped powerlifting and strongman gym in the city, the coaches and lifting team have been so welcoming and helpful in my training. Natalie and the other coaches have helped make massive improvements to my strength, technique and diet, leading to a 30% increase to my total in just 12 weeks.

I have been training with Gus at Lifters League for 6 months now and in that time I have made a very important discovery………..It is indeed possible to teach an old dog new tricks!After many years of training on my own I had reached a point where I was no longer confident to tackle the big lifts without pain, or fear of injury, and was concerned that my heavy lifting days might be over.I had been following Gus on social media for some time, and was always impressed with the way that Lifters League presented as a club, with a team of Lifters being looked after by ‘coaches’ rather than ‘trainers’.Their passion for the sport was clear, but it was their attention to detail, and technique focus which got me in the door……….I thought that if anyone could fix my years of bad habits it would be these guys.My brief was fairly simple – show me how to lift again without pain or injury. So off we went on a back-to-basics approach to re-learn proper technique from scratch.Its only been 6 months, but I am now regularly training all of the big lifts again pain free, at weights that I thought I might never reach again. Most importantly though is that I can now do so with greater self-belief......and Gus's advice in my ear to 'trust in the process'.I still have a long way to go, but I am confident that I am in the right place to keep learning.

Cannot recommend Lifters League, especially Gus and Nat highly enough!! I have been doing weight lifting for about a year and have had some pretty big balance issues due to a cerebellar brain tumour. After an hour session with Gus and Nat, I was already able to see massive improvements in my dead lift and squat. Gus was amazing at coming up with exercises and ways to improve my balance, even with my difficulties. They were incredibly encouraging and supportive and made me feel really safe. My session with these two has been a massive confidence booster for me and I left with some amazing tips and ideas that I can't wait to try out! Thank you so so much Gus and Nat!

I've been training with Braydn for about a year. I started off doing face-to-face sessions, but have been an online client since moving away from Brisbane.Unlike most PTs, the team at Lifters League know how to perform lifts correctly, and this will help you move more weight safely. They've produced some very strong athletes - I'd barely make it onto the women's record board!If you're interested in lifting, even as a recreational exerciser like myself, I'd highly recommend speaking to them. The workshops that Gus runs are worth attending, and I'd love to do their new strongman course.

Expert lifting. I went to a bench press workshop where Gus talked us through so much info and gave great resources on bench press, and how to eliminate injury permanently. A really great day! And we'll worth it when you want to improve your lift, especially lower your injury rate.

I have had an amazing experience training with Lifters League. I was coached via athlete management by Coach Leoni Smith. This was definitely a worth while investment for me in my pursuit to be the strongest I could be.Prior to lifters league I had a passion for building strength, not only to be strong in the gym but for life as well being a personal trainer- lifting is a given. I came to realize that if I wanted to be stronger than I am I would need to learn from people who knew what they were doing.I became a part of the athlete management program, coached by Leoni. With this investment came exactly what I was looking for, someone who kept me accountable in my training and my nutrition. I've learnt so much from Leoni as a personal trainer. The amount I've learnt about myself, strength training knowledge and nutritional coaching is unparalleled in my experience as a Fitness Professional. I was coached during my novice competition and then through my first sanctioned GPC competition where I came 2nd in my weight class.My biggest struggle being who I am is always with nutrition and this is an issue Leoni has thoroughly coached me through. My body composition has changed for the better during my athlete management. I was able to put on mass to be the strongest I was during competition prep and then was able to lose body fat (body recomp) when I was out of competition prep, which was my personal preference. This is what being coached/ managed is all about, catering for my needs as an athlete but also for my personal goals- Leoni represents coaching at a higher standard- listens with intent, educates thoroughly, keeps you accountable and provides critical feedback to improve yourself.I would highly recommend Lifters League, especially coach Leoni for those looking to take their training & nutrition to the next level. Coming from a gym where trainers avoided barbells, then going to a home gym I really had no idea about lifting technique. I was just lifting the bar and doing what I thought was right, which turned out to be very wrong.Doing the workshops gave me the fundamentals I was missing, building confidence and increasing weight in my lifts. The trainers at Lifters League are really passionate about what they do, and how to point out and rectify anything that isn't right

I visited the Lifters League workshop for Bench and Deadlifts. These guys know their stuff. The sessions had very in depth breakdowns of the movements with so much knowledge of the bio mechanics and science behind the lifts. Nothing stumped them and they were able to answer any and all questions showing theit reasoning along the way. Everyone got a chance to jump up and try the lift and Gus was instantly able to make significant form corrections showing his experience.Plenty of good takeaways from these sessions, shame I missed Squats. I'd recommend for anyone who wants to lift heavier, needs a form check or just straight wants to do things right.

I attended a free workshop last month and I was very impressed with how well it was delivered. It was organised and structured so there was time for theory, demonstration of good vs bad technique and even an opportunity to have your lifts critiqued! My group was lead by Leoni Smith who was very knowledgeable and personable. I found her to be highly experienced and had a fantastic capability of quickly assessing everyone’s capacity and making slight adjustments and suggestions to improve their individual lifts. I’ll be seeing more of the team at Lifter’s League in the future I hope!

I went to the free Fundamentals workshop on 30 June '18. What an awesome workshop. The explanations, demos and practical assessment were broken down and explained in easy to understand steps. I knew about the breathing and bracing components but never really understood it until this workshop. The team explained it in detail, did demos and then had us all doing it until we all had done it correctly.Breathing, bracing and neutral spine position are paramount in lifting even if the weight is only small and can be used in daily tasks when sitting or picking things up off the ground.i hurt my back a few weeks ago and the prehab exercises worked almost instantly. I wish i had seen this team of professionals Gus, Brayden and the lovely Leonie, years ago as it would have saved me a couple years of injuries and heartache. I recommend anyone doing any sort of squat, bench and deadlift to see the team before they put any weight on the bar. The Book they have created allow you to focus on the workshop and when you go home it has everything in it that they cover and some. It is an AWESOME refresher that helps to jog the memory on the bits you forgot. I will be seeing the team again to help me get stronger the right way.Thank You Lifters League.

Today I attended a lifters league workshop the whole experience was mind blowing the crew Gus Leoni and Braydn are Top Class coach’s who are knowledgeable passionate and totally hands on with every person from beginning to end I can highly recommend this experience to anyone these guys will get you to where you want to be goals are their business! I went to one of the fundamentals of power lifting workshops. The coaches were amazing and full of knowledge. The workshop was very interactive. Gus, the coach taking the workshop, ran exercises and made sure that every single person was doing the exercise correctly. Being a beginner lifter, I took away a few basic pointers relating to breathing and deadlifiting in particular which made it well worth attending. Having said that, there was just so much information that (I think) even an intermediate lifter would greatly benefit from attending one of the workshops. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who wanted to start lifting or wanted to work on their technique. These guys clearly know that they are talking about. I would go back for more pointers given the opportunity.

Couldn't ask for a nicer group of people who have made me feel welcome and part of the family from my first training session. It's always daunting walking into a new gym for the first time and even though I'd been back in the environment for just under a year I was still apprehensive. Looking forward to the next chapter in my lifting while having such knowledgeable, dedicated and supportive coaches guiding me has me pretty excited for the future!

Lifters league is a gym with the best equipment and educated, experienced coaches. I'm a novice powerlifter and I started working with Gus, the head coach of Lifters League, a while ago to help improve my strength and technique. He has always been a highly dedicated and knowledgeable coach. So when he started his own gym, I was so excited about the environment he would create.I love that they have gym hours where a coach present to assist anyone training, whether it be for a spot or advice on technique. So important for a new lifter. The perfect place new gym-goer or a champion powerlifter. They have my highest recommendations. Definitely check them out!!

Fantastic new facility for powerlifting. Also has machines and dumbells for the strongest lifters, and so many power racks! But by far the best thing about this gym is the coaches. Elite level power lifters themselves they take an evidence based science backed approach to training to achieve your goals. I've made excellent progress in a just a few months on all 3 lifts thanks to Gus.

I cannot get over how welcoming this facility is. Its always intimidating walking into a new gym however the 'family' environment that has been created is amazing!!! From day dot my name was remembered and everyone was encouraging and supportive of my goals. If your looking into a training facility with education and family as their main priority, definitely check this place out!

Honestly couldn't ask for a better place to train. Gus, Annie and Leonie are so knowledgable and never make me feel silly for asking any questions I have. I always leave feeling like I have trained to the best of my ability and like I have learned something new. When I first came I was quite nervous but after my first visit, I knew that I wouldn't be training anywhere else.
